What is ARCHIVAL framing?

ALL IN THE FRAME is dedicated to archival and museum quality framing. This means we  only use 100% cotton rag or other all natural and reversible materials in our mats and appropriate archival protective processes for framing. We use linen tape, Japanese hinging techniques, and achival photo corners to secure the art to the matting to avoid shifting in the frame. Cellophane tape, masking tape or basic white glue should never be used to attach the art within a frame.

Many aspects/factors contribute to and can progress deterioration of art prints. General archival framing refers to materials used. It is our basic level of framing. If you are concerned about conservation and preservation framing, we will approach the framing in a slightly different way.
